We rent our own cars on Madeira Island from our office in Santa Cruz, and deliver them to the airport and to hotels in Funchal and Caniço.
Express Car Rental started in the local market in 2013. Since then we have run more than 120 cars and issued more than 3,000 rental agreements, and our team has more than 14 years of experience in Madeira's car rental market.
Who we are
We are a local company, not a booking platform or a broker. The cars on this website are our own fleet. When you book with us, you deal directly with the company that owns and maintains the car.

How we work
- The price you see is the final price. Mandatory items, such as basic insurance and Madeira's regional usage fee, are shown at checkout before you book.
- No security deposit. Unlike many brokers, we do not block money on your card.
- We deliver. We meet you at Madeira Airport arrivals, or bring the car to your hotel in Funchal or Caniço.
- Advice before you drive. Tell us where you plan to go and we will suggest a car that suits Madeira's mountain roads.

Express Car Rental is operated by ETM – Express Tours & Management Services, Unip Lda (NIF 510 870 813), under rent-a-car licence nº 70. Our office is at Estrada do Cristo Rei, Sitio da Quinta Lt.10, 9125-057 Santa Cruz, Madeira.
